A memorial is planned at the library for Children's Librarian Linda Blackwell, who passed away suddenly on Monday while at home with family. She was a welcoming, creative, and constant presence in the Children's Room for nineteen years and will be greatly missed. The library will close at 5 p.m. and reopen at 7 p.m. for the reception.

“Be Creative @ Your Library” this summer at the Geneva Public Library and explore the worlds of music, art, books and more. All programs are free of charge and several require pre-registration.
The Geneva Public Library provides an annual Summer Reading Program for children and teens. Each year we give out prizes to those children and teens who reach reading milestones.
The library joins Geneva Community Projects and others in this year’s community celebration of children’s books and the joy of reading at the 2009 Geneva Reads Book Fest on Saturday May 2.
