April 25: Public Budget Hearing

 The Library will present its proposed 2012-2013 Budget, which includes an increase of 2% in local tax appropriation. The additional $8,961.00 in tax revenue will help the Library offset rising retirement and health care costs as well as significant reductions in state aid in order to maintain the high quality collections, services and programs that the Geneva community currently enjoys.   

Headphone Use Starting March 1st

Starting March 1st, patrons will either have to bring headphones from home or pay $2.00 to purchase headphones at the reference desk. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.

Sat. Dec. 17: FLCC Instructor Led Microsoft Excel Course

On Saturday Dec. 17 from 10:00-2:00 we will be bringing in Judy Smith from FLCC to teach an intermediate level course on Microsoft Excel. All attendees will be eligible to receive a custom flash drive from the library and a certificate from FLCC.

Library Keeping Wideband

The library is officially making the switch to Time Warner Wideband.

Library Testing Time Warner Wideband

In response to public demand for improved broadband speed and Internet performance, the library is currently testing Time Warner's Wideband Internet. The upgrade was made last Friday, 8/26, and our evaluation period will last for two weeks.

Tuesday Night Computer Classes Starting Sep. 20th!

Been interested in a computer class but can’t get to the library during the day? This Fall starting Sep. 20th, The G.I.G. is offering a computer class at 7:00 pm every Tuesday night. We’ll cover everything from computer basics and e-mail to the Microsoft Office products, the online job application process, and social networking.
