Mary Lou Strawway Reviews Oprah’s Book Club Selection, A New Earth

Continuing the long-awaited return of Geneva Public Library’s “Books Sandwiched In” program, Mary Lou Strawway will be reviewing Eckhart Tolle’s A New Earth.  The 30-40 minute program begins shortly after noon at the library and is free and open to the public.

Originally published in 1995, A New Earth recently gained wide readership after being featured in Oprah’s Book Club.  “Tolle's gentle tone and dialect begs his audience's attention simply through its straightforward approach. Something about this reading just seems profoundly important, whether one agrees with the material or not, and listeners' attention is sure to be captured within seconds of listening to Tolle's take on the universe in which we live,” says Publisher’s Weekly.

Ms. Strawway’s review concludes the spring “Books Sandwiched In” series, which features reviews of books by community members the 1st Friday of the month.  The series will begin again in September.
