A seven member board of trustees governs the Geneva Public Library under New York State Education Law and are elected by the voters of the Geneva City School District.

The Library's proposed 2012-2013 Budget includes an increase of 2% in local tax appropriation. The additional $8,961.00 in tax revenue will help the Library offset rising retirement costs as well as significant reductions in state aid in order to maintain the high quality collections, services and programs that the Geneva community currently enjoys.
