May 30: Gospel for Friday's Musical Moments
The men's gospel quartet from the Presbyterian Church in Geneva are singing at the Geneva Public Library in May's Musical Moments, Friday, May 30. The program is open and free to the public and begins at 7 PM.
The men's gospel quartet from the Presbyterian Church has performed together in the area for twenty years. The quartet includes Bob Bailey, Tom McClure, Wendell Roelofs, and John Tarr. Besides singing during church services, the quartet has performed at the Geneva Whale Watch Festival, the church's annual Strawberry Festival, and other special events in the area. The groups sings a repertoire of classic gospel songs that feature rich traditional gospel harmony and sings a cappella or uses recorded accompaniment.
Musical Moments at the Geneva Public Library is sponsored by the Margaret Wyckoff Foundation and is held the last Friday of the month in the library reading room. Performances begin at 7PM. Refreshments are served. The Geneva Public Library is located at 244 Main Street, at the corner of Castle and Main in Geneva.
