April 25: Mollie Steele and Ella Cripps in Musical Moments

Mollie Steele sings selections from Broadway, light opera, and inspirational songs on Friday, April 25, at the Geneva Public Library Musical Moments. She is accompanied on the piano by Ella Cripps. The program begins at 7 PM and is open and free to the public.

Mollie Steele is a graduate of Ithaca College. She was vocal and choral music teacher at Geneva High School for 21 years. She was also an adjunct teacher of voice at Hobart and William Smith Colleges. She has been teaching at the Lochland School for the past 27 years.

Ella Cripps is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music. She is long time organist and choir director of the Geneva First Methodist Church. In 1972, Leone Soper invited Ella to join the Tuesday Quartet. The Tuesday Quartet performed March 15 as part of the St. Michael's Music Series.

Ella Cripps and Mollie Steele have been performing and "making music" together since 1968.

Musical Moments at the Geneva Public Library showcases local musicians and writers and is offered on the last Friday of the month. It is free and open to the public, begins at 7 PM, and is supported by a grant from the Margaret Wyckoff Trust. For more information contact the library at 315-789-5303.
