Register for a Library Card!
You may register for a free library card if you live or own property in the Geneva City School District, or in Ontario, Wayne, Wyoming, or Livingston County, or if you are a student at Hobart and William Smith Colleges or Finger Lakes Community College and live in the school district or one of these counties.
If you do not meet these residency requirements, a card is available for an annual fee of $20.
Children are encouraged to get their own cards. Pre-school and school-age children, up to and including fifth grade, must register at the ground floor desk in the Children's Room for their cards and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian with the ID and proof of residency described below.
Businesses and local agencies located within the four county system can register for a library card. To do so, we ask that they provide us with a document typed on agency letterhead, or a similar representative material, which lists all of the individual employees who may charge out items for the agency. These agency cards will be kept at the main desk at the library and individuals must present ID which we will verify against the letterhead document provided.
Adults and teens register for their library cards at the main floor desk.
By registering for a card you agree to to return all items you borrow and observe library policies and rules.
