The library provides loans from its collections to registered borrowers of all ages. Any registered borrower may borrow from any of the library's collections no matter their age.

OWWL is the online catalog of the 42 public libraries in Ontario, Wayne, Wyoming, and Livingston counties and includes the collections of Geneva Public Library as well. Anyone with an OWWL library card may borrow from any of these public libraries, including from Geneva.
The library loans materials to registered borrowers of all ages. A valid library card should be presented each time items are borrowed.
The Geneva Public Library complies with New York State law regarding the confidentiality of patron records.
A paper receipt is given to borrowers that show the date when each item should be returned to the library. A late fee is charged the borrower for any item returned late.
Loan periods are determined by the library director in cooperation with the Pioneer Library System.
Items from the other 41 public libraries in Ontario, Wayne, Wyoming, and Livingston counties that are members of the Pioneer Library System are available for loan to library borrowers.
Borrowers may place a hold on and reserve an item not immediately available at the library or on an item from another library of the Pioneer Library System.
Loans may be renewed twice and are renewed for the same length of time as the original loan period.
